This script remains largely experimental and always does not give the awaited results.  For a more precise importation it is, by far, preferable to use the svg format 

Advise :: Even if it is possible to import files compatible with format AI of Illustrator 10, it is however preferable to choose a largely former version because the file is much shorter.  

Compatible origins:  Exports starting from Photoshop 4.0 and Coreldraw 9 seem to be compatible too
